The City of Adelaide’s Biodiversity team and Rotary Adelaide Light came together on the last weekend of June, to complete a planting in Gladys Elphick Park / Narnungga (Park 25)

Together the group planted 1,000 native plants in swales designed to divert stormwater into the Park Lands,

The stormwater will be used by the plants to create a healthy ecological habitat.

Kirsti Kankkunen from The Rotary Club of Adelaide Light said this type of activity is exactly what their group is looking to get involved in.

They are city based and want to help locally with revegetation and giving back to the community. The environment is now one of Rotary's seven areas of focus.

The City of Adelaide’s Park Lands Maintenance team were very thankful for the help and enjoyed getting the chance to get to know members of our community.
