Two different visions
We have a vision: in an overcrowded world, open green public space is becoming ever-more precious.
Adelaide is wealthy, with a world-unique garland of Parks. In future, Adelaide can become the envy of the world by maintaining and restoring that treasure.
The State Government has a different "vision" and has now made that vision explict. Its "re-zoning" plans would allow many more buildings (including shops, offices, serviced apartments, hotels, residential and light industry) up to 20 stories high along the banks of the River Torrens / Karrawirra Pari.
The Government is inviting your comment on its plans to re-zone the Riverbank area at the heart of your Adelaide Park Lands. However, the Government is NOT seeking your comment on its “vision”.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
To save your Open Green Public Spaces, your only chance is to explicitly reject the Government's "vision".
On the Government’s YourSay website, you can respond to the technical and confusing planning documents. Your response will be assessed by planning bureaucrats. Please do so, by 27 October.

More importantly, your message needs to get through to the politicians who came up with this short-sighted “vision” of destroying your Park Lands.
Email:
any other member of the State Government,
to let them know that their “vision” is the wrong one for Adelaide.
