Please, lend us a hand
In recent months, we’ve been growing not just our membership but also our regular activities, our regular publishing and promotion of your Park Lands as well as planning the next edition of the Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize.
But that growing buzz of activity needs more hands-on backup.
What can you do to help? These opportunities are all voluntary and don't require large time commitments. You’ll be warmly welcomed onto our team of volunteers as we all squeeze in support for the Park Lands around our other day-to-day responsibilities and leisure, both at work and at home.
To become a Park Ambassador you don’t need to be a botanist or historian. We’ll help you with all the resources you need to conduct a Guided Walk with confidence. Here’s what it looks like to be a Park Ambassador:
We are seeking Park Ambassadors for:
Yam Daisy Park / Kantarilla (Park 3) and Reservoir Park / Kangatilla (Park 4);
The Olive Groves / Kuntingga (Park 7) and Parngutilla (Park 8)
Park 11, which includes Mistletoe Park, Botanic Park and the Adelaide Botanic Garden,
John E Brown Park (Park 27A) along with Mary Lee Park (Park 27B); and
the formal gardens of North Adelaide: Palmer Gardens / Pangki Pangki (Park 28) and Brougham Gardens / Tantutitingga (Park 29).
Also needed: Digital explorers
One or more web-savvy helpers are needed to share team tasks such as:
