Do you know a secondary school student with an artistic flair?

If so, let them know about an opportunity to enter one of South Australia’s most prestigious Art Prize competitions for FREE.

Entries to the Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize are normally $50 for each artwork.

The prize pool, to be awarded in March 2023, totals $50,000. This includes a First prize of $20,000 and fifteen $2,000 prizes including School Student prize of $2,000 and a Young Artist (U 25) prize of $2,000.

To encourage participation from young artists, we’re offering 20 free registrations for SA secondary school students.

Enter your name, age, school, a preferred email contact (it can be an email address for a parent or teacher if preferred).

Importantly please include just a single sentence describing what you like about the Adelaide Park Lands.

Free entry submissions will close at midnight on Friday 25 November.

What happens after that?

• Selected students will be notified by Wednesday 30 November.

• You’ll then have another two months to take advantage of your free entry, by creating and submitting your artwork by the closing deadline of 31 January 2023.

• Our panel of five judges will come together in February to select finalists, whose work will be exhibited at the Adelaide Festival Centre from 24 March to 7 May 2023.

• Prizes will be awarded at the opening of the exhibition on 24 March.
