Boost to Guided Walks schedule

by Shane Sody

A growing number of Park Ambassadors will help us offer a record number of Park Lands Guided Walks in 2024.

The schedule of Guided Walks for next year has now been settled, after our information session “Park Ambassador Curious” last Monday in Adelaide.

Our 2024 Schedule will commence on Sunday 21 January with the first Guided Walk of the year, in Golden Wattle Park / Mirnu Wirra (Park 21 West) hosted by a new Park Ambassador, Gillian Stevens.

Several of our more popular Guided Walks will have additional scheduled dates throughout 2024.

We’ll be doubling up, next year, with two annual Guided Walks on separate dates, through each of:

Throughout 2024, there’ll be a total of 33 Guided Walks, as well as two editions of the Park Lands Loop collective (a non-Guided Walk, to stretch your legs around the whole 15.5 km of the CBD Park Lands) in April and October, as in recent previous years.

Our calendar of events in 2024 will also include two Park cleanup days, in March and October, organised with the assistance of “Clean Up Australia”.

2024 will see the completion of our years-long project to publish Trail Guides for every single one of the Parks within your Adelaide Park Lands.

As usual, tickets for each of our Guided Walk will become available at least two months ahead of each scheduled event, through our ticketing platform, Humanitix.

Ticket prices in 2024 will remain at $9 adults, and $6 for children/concession. APA Members will continue to have access to free tickets for each Guided Walk.
