Teeming with life, Leaf Litter creates a habitat for insects, birds and animals, providing food and protection. Such an important element to our landscape, but we really don’t notice it.

I love drawing and nature, the detail, the elements missed by a fleeting glance, the colours and the life that exists amongst that leaf litter.

I invite the viewer to look deeper, draw them in and offer another level of engagement.

I endeavour to present simultaneously the micro and macro; viewers of my work are often found both stepping right back and getting up close and personal. There are hidden secrets within the complexity of the work.

I am a strong believer in the value of drawing as part of the creative process and I usually work in Coloured pencil, graphite and/or MetalPoint (24ct gold & pure silver).
