En Plein Air, destination Park 20 off Greenhill Road. Quite the contrast to the first location of the day, between the Botanical Gardens and the Adelaide Zoo.

This Park reminded me of a European-inspired garden and offered quite the challenge in mixing various hues of green.

Park 20 the quintessential Australian bushland dry, brown and beautiful against a bright blue sky. I love this setting and try to capture the character of this place.

I am not striving for a traditional representation and use abstraction to create shapes and form. Using oil paint over acrylic I utilise a limited palette to keep the colours harmonious with the environment.

Our Park Lands are visibly diverse and transmit an energy that I carried home. Inspired I continued to paint for hours!
