The Adelaide Park Lands face constant threats from private developers and government projects, which seek to replace cherished public spaces with private infrastructure.
This relentless push to destroy natural heritage for profit is simply unacceptable. Every piece of our public Park Lands holds cultural and environmental value that must not be sacrificed for short-term gains or entertainment ventures.
Instead of destroying these natural assets, why not focus on redeveloping the vast stretches of open land that surround the outskirts of the city?
With strategic planning and investment in effective public transport, these areas could easily transform into the entertainment hubs developers dream of—without encroaching on our city’s green heart.
Our Park Lands are not commodities; they are spaces for community, history, and nature.
It’s time to prioritise long-term sustainability over short-sighted greed and commit to preserving these irreplaceable landscapes for future generations.
