Make a two-minute email plug for your Park Lands.
Please, before Sunday evening, 19th May, send a short email to the City Council, providing feedback on their Draft 2024-25 Budget and Annual Business Plan.
The easiest way to do that is simply to advise the Council that you support our submission.
The Adelaide Park Lands Association has already submitted our feedback (PDF, 3 pages, 176 Kb):
Offering congratulations on more than $22 milllion allocated for maintenance of your Park Lands;
Urging clarity on ambiguous proposals to fund new sports buildings;
Recommending ramps and stairs be provided as a priority, to improve public access within Helen Mayo Park;
Suggesting funds be allocated specifically for removing bitumen in Park 22, so that APA can commence a long-delayed re-greening project;
Asking for an increased level of sponsorship for the 2025 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize; and
Reminding the Council of the enormous tourism potential to be accessed by investing in the proposed Adelaide Recreation Circuit.
