Tickets are selling fast for the quirky and curious Park Quiz, on 9 October, a fun way to support the coming Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize.

Three expert subjects; and three contestants, battling it out for The Big Grass Mug! Plus an interactive audience challenge.

Who will win the Big Grass Mug? Our expert contestants, top, (from left) James Smith - SA's urban wildlife expert; Dr Kiera Lindsey - South Australia's History Advocate; and Michael Harvey - Director of the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

It will be an evening brimming with stories about your Adelaide Park Lands, spanning the intriguing to the sublime and even the ridiculous!

Book a table of 8, or come solo, to enjoy a fantastic evening of entertaining tales and little known facts.

Each table will participate in a challenge to test your knowledge of Your Park Lands, leading to hilarious outcomes.

In addition, silent auctions will allow you to bid on items such as:

  • two original artworks from the previous (2023) edition of the Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize;

  • rare copies of the 148-page book: “The Art of William Light”; and

  • trays of seedlings from Trees for Life.

The Gov's kitchen will be open for you to order a delicious meal.

Funds raised will support the School Student Category for the 2025 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize, helping young artists to showcase their talents. 100% of donations go towards the Prize Pool.

Prize pool expansion?

We are still hopeful of securing additional sponsors and donors to boost the prize pool further, and award even more prizes than those outlined above. Our aim is to boost overall prize money to match the record $50,000 that was paid out in 2023. That is the main reason for the Park Quiz event on 9 October.
