Art Prize Finalists confirmed

by Rosemary Warmington, AM

Preparations are underway for an exhibition, at the Adelaide Festival Centre, of 88 artworks, carefully chosen as the finalists, in the 2025 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize.

During February, our five respected judges selected the finalists from among 320 entries, that had been received by the closing date at the end of January.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all entrants for their fabulous entries and the effort and thought they put into their works.

Our Exhibition this year will include works in 2-D, 3-D, digital and of course painting and multimedia works.

Works will be on show from artists of all ages. I’m delighted that the exhibition will show more works than in previous iterations of the Adelaide Park Lands Prize. All 88 works accepted as finalists will be on display at the Adelaide Festival Theatre Gallery from 1 April to 29 April.

In a first for the Adelaide Art Prize, you will also be able to remotely browse all works in a 3D augmented reality version of the Festival Centre’s gallery, thanks to Michael Petros, of ABM visual.

If you entered the Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize you should have received an email notification, to advise whether your artwork has been selected as a finalist. Don’t forget to check your inbox for your potential finalist notification.
