It was great to see so many Adelaideans enjoying the shade at last weekend's Sheffield Shield cricket final, and the well deserved win by SA, over the Queensland Bulls, on Karen Rolton Oval in Gladys Elphick Park/Narnungga (Park 25).

Although the State Government cannot find any funds to advance World Heritage listing of your Park Lands, it could find $190,000 to cover the costs of erecting temporary grandstands for the event.

Immediately after the morale-boosting win, suggestions were made that this Park should be further "developed" in the interests of professional sport. Premier Peter Malinauskas told ABC Radio Adelaide that an approach had been made by SACA. We'll watch this space.
Drivers paid $20 per car, as the adjacent Oval #2 was turned into a car park, for the duration of the event.
