How will you see the 80 finalists in the 2023 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize? On-line, or in person?
Red dots (to indicate “sold”) have appeared next to 23 of the art works in the Festival Centre gallery.
You can view, purchase, and vote for your favourite on line (see the links below) but there’s nothing like seeing these art works close-up, in person, while you still can.
Take the advice of two of the artists: Marisha Matthews, and Mark Kimber:
The exhibition of finalists’ artworks in the 2023 Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize will be closing on Sunday 7 May at 4pm.
You can see these inspirational works on Festival Centre performance evenings (until Saturday 6 May), or during the day at these selected times: Thursday and Saturday 10am-3pm; or Sunday 12 - 4pm.
If you can’t get to the Festival Centre gallery during these opening times, then you can still see the artworks:
on-line at our virtual exhibition; or
in the on-line catalogue (where you can also purchase).
After you’ve had a good look (either in-person, or on-line) vote for your favourite to win the People’s Choice award. Votes are being collected by Survey Monkey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/R233LFH
Voting will remain open until the exhibition closes: i.e. 4pm on Sunday 7 May.
Support an artist; and support the Adelaide Park Lands Association by purchasing one of the art works. But hurry! Many have been snapped up already.
By Saturday 29 April, a total of 23 of the artworks had been sold, raising more than $35,000. Proceeds from artwork sales go 70% to the artist, with the other 30% supporting the work of the Adelaide Park Lands Association to “Explore, Inspire, Protect and Restore.”
The People’s Choice winning artist will receive $2,000, courtesy of our sponsor the Royal Adelaide Show.
All 15 other prize winners were announced at the exhibition opening on 24 March 2023.
