Meet your new Committee

Three new faces have joined the Adelaide Park Lands Association managing Committee for 2023-24.

Our Annual General Meeting, on 30 April at the Unley Town Hall, was the venue for introducing the Committee who will govern the Association for the next 12 months, as we continue to hep you Explore, Inspire, Protect and Restore.

Under our Constitution, the Committee is refreshed annually, subject to a vote of Members if any positions are contested.

The Annual General Meeting confirmed that in 2023-24, seven members of the previous Committee would be continuing; including President Shane Sody, Secretary Dr Sandra Lindemann, and Treasurer Bruno Zeni.

Others continuing their guiding roles for another 12 months as part of the Committee are: Ben Ayris, Sean Cullen-Macaskill, Cr Henry Davis, Cr Ted Jennings, and Peter Sansom,

The three new faces being welcomed are Stephanie Miller, Dr Orso Osti, and the chair of our Art Prize sub-committee, Nataliya Dikovskaya.

The Annual General Meeting also approved a rise in fees, for Association members. It’s been five years since fees were last increased. The new fees, to take effect from 1 July 2023 are:

  • Single concession (inc full-time student): $20

  • Single: $35

  • Family concession: $40

  • Family: $50

  • Corporate: $75

  • Life: $300

Financial members receive:

  • the priceless satisfaction of supporting our work; to help others “Explore”, “Inspire”, “Protect”, and “Restore

  • free participation in our regular guided Park Lands walks;

  • eligibility to become a Park Ambassador and lead an annual guided walk through one Park;

  • 15% discount on Park Lands merchandise from the APA shop;

  • eligibility to nominate for election to the Managing Committee;

  • the responsibility to help guide our activities through the Annual General meeting; and

  • a printable PDF annual membership certificate:
